Our Alumni have been busy! Some recent news:

Evan Few (Violin ’01) performed with the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra on their February 17 “Winter in Amsterdam” concert.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wick Simmons (Cello ’09, ’10) will be featured on NPR’s “From the Top.” Simmons will play Ravel’s “Kaddish” during a taping March 3 at the University of Georgia’s Hugh Hodgson Hall. The show will air at a later date.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Reed Lovell (Violin, ’01, ’04) is finishing his BFA in Sound Design from Savannah College of Art this quarter. Reed worked on a student film this year called “Stumble”, in which he was a Foley artist and a Sound Editor. The film was nominated for a Golden Reel Award, which is equivalent to the Oscars for sound. The award ceremony was Sunday, Feb. 17 in Los Angeles, CA.

 

Allegra Montanari (Cello ’05, ’06) wrote a featured post for Chicago Music’s blog, “Top 5 Classical Lovey-Dovey Valentine’s Hits.” FPCM featured the post in it’s recent Valentine’s Day e-mail. Great recommendations, Allegra!
