Franklin Pond’s Summer program is a unique chamber-music program for talented pre-college musicians grades 7-12+. Created as an opportunity for serious students to interact personally with highly qualified professionals, this program offers coaching with musicians from the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, master classes with guest artists from all over the United States, and special classes in related disciplines. Students prepare for a final concert as well as informal community concerts. Participating students will go on a retreat, then meet at least one full day per week in July before the Summer Finale Concert in Atlanta. This program is designed to complement the summer schedules of students who wish to stay home and study intensively with their private teachers. Our goal is to develop the artistic and interpretive talents of our students, as well as to strengthen their communication and leadership skills in a collaborative atmosphere.
Tuition: $1,500 (scholarships available with audition and teacher recommendation)
*All summer concerts are free and open to the public, but donations are much appreciated.
