Ivo van der Werff Viola Solo Masterclass

Ivo’s plane was delayed 3 hours in Chicago so the class started an hour late!  Everyone entertained themselves in the living room and Ivo rushed in and started teaching.  About 10:30 a massive thunderstorm rolled in and just before the last person started to play the electricity went out (it stayed out for about 2 hours).  No fear, we lit cell phones, candles and a couple of keresone lanterns and finished the masterclass with alum John Cooper playing Bach by candlelight.  It was really quite wonderful.  Unfortunately it was pouring rain when everyone had to leave.  Some of the kids who were here until 11:00 had to be back the next morning for group masterclass with Ivo.
