Apollo Quintet to perform at Georgia Music Educators Association Convention

On Friday, January 28 at 4:15, the Apollo Quintet has been invited to perform in the lobby of the Classic Center in Athens at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Convention. This outstanding quintet is made up of members of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra Chamber Players and Franklin Pond Chamber Music. The Summer Final Showcase Concert is on Sunday, August 1

The annual Summer Final Showcase Concert of the Summer Intensive Program will feature talented young musicians in a chamber music concert featuring works that include Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Dvorak, as well as a piece written by alumnus Samuel Viguerie. The concert is free and open to the public on Sunday, August 1 at 3:00 pm in Kellett Chapel of Peachtree Presbyterian Church (3434 Roswell Rd., Atlanta).

The Quartet Le Petit Plays at Lenbrook Retirement Community

The Quartet Le Petit played an hour-long concert at Lenbrook Retirement Community on Friday, May 28. They performed a range of classical and semi-popular pieces ranging from Beethoven and Bartok to Mancini and a tango.

The four high school students, who have played together since elementary school, took charge of the concert, introducing themselves and their pieces, and answering questions from the enthusiastic audience.

Franklin Pond Chamber Music Competition

Join us LIVE on Saturday, May 29 for the 5th Annual Franklin Pond Chamber Music Competition, happening this year at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. The event is free and open to the public, and reservations are not required. The gorgeous, spacious, and acoustically beautiful sanctuary can easily host a socially-distanced audience. Masks are highly encouraged but not required.
