Apollo Quintet to perform at Georgia Music Educators Association Convention

On Friday, January 28 at 4:15, the Apollo Quintet has been invited to perform in the lobby of the Classic Center in Athens at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Convention. This outstanding quintet is made up of members of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra Chamber Players and Franklin Pond Chamber Music. They will perform the first movement of the famous two-cello Schubert Quintet in C Major.

The quintet members are:

  • Sam Vaillancourt, violin – 11th grade Columbus High School (Columbus, GA)
  • Danielle Najarian, violin – 12th grade Milton High School (Milton, GA)
  • Zoë Schwartz, viola – 12th grade Woodward Academy
  • Jonathan Fuller, cello – 12th grade Midtown High School (Atlanta, GA)
  • Cal Walrath, cello – 12th grade Johns Creek High School (Johns Creek, GA)
