The annual Summer Final Showcase Concert of the Summer Intensive Program will feature talented young musicians in a chamber music concert featuring works that include Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Dvorak, as well as a piece written by alumnus Samuel Viguerie. The concert is free and open to the public on Sunday, August 1 at 3:00 pm in Kellett Chapel of Peachtree Presbyterian Church (3434 Roswell Rd., Atlanta).

The Quartet Le Petit played an hour-long concert at Lenbrook Retirement Community on Friday, May 28. They performed a range of classical and semi-popular pieces ranging from Beethoven and Bartok to Mancini and a tango.
The four high school students, who have played together since elementary school, took charge of the concert, introducing themselves and their pieces, and answering questions from the enthusiastic audience.

Join us LIVE on Saturday, May 29 for the 5th Annual Franklin Pond Chamber Music Competition, happening this year at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. The event is free and open to the public, and reservations are not required. The gorgeous, spacious, and acoustically beautiful sanctuary can easily host a socially-distanced audience. Masks are highly encouraged but not required.
The Spring Concert on May 4 was very successful, with five Fall Into Spring groups performing live in the sanctuary of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. Peachtree Road has been a wonderful partner, helping us by providing beautiful venues for rehearsals and concerts all year. (more…)
Franklin Pond Founder and Music Director, Ronda Respess, was awarded the Atlanta Federation of Musicians Educator Award for her work with Franklin Pond for the last 20 years. The award was announced at the last Union meeting and comes with a $500 stipend which is to be donated to a non-profit of choice – which, of course, is Franklin Pond. Ronda is very grateful for this honor bestowed by her colleagues.
