FP Alumni perform in recital

June 15, 2014:  Two Franklin Pond alumni students organized and played in an afternoon recital at Kellett Chapel of Peachtree Presbyterian Church.  College students Drew Forde (viola, FP 2007-2010) and Margeaux Maloney (violin, FP 2005), performed with students Alice Hong, and Khari Joyner and professional pianists Shirley Irek and Sharon Berenson in an eclectic program which included works by Glazunov, Bruch, Franck, Shostakovich, and Alice’s arrangement of John Legend’s “All of Me”.  Drew is going to Juilliard in September for a Masters Degree in Viola Performance, Margeaux will be going for a Masters in Violin Performance at USC, Alice is going to Rice University from Cleveland Institute of Music, and Khari is remaining at Juilliard to persue a Doctorate in Cello Performance.  The recital was impressive and beautifully showcased some of our many young Atlanta talents.  Franklin Pond is very proud of Drew and Margeaux.
