Franklin Pond Chamber Music began almost 25 years ago as a fledgling summer program for string quartets. Over the years, we have been able to expand our reach, offering chamber music training to a wide variety of ensembles, from string quartets to harp trios to wind octets!

This year, inspired by our roots as well as some great conversations with this year’s judges, the Artaria Quartet, we decided to add to a brand new Competition Prize! Named the Founder’s Award, this $500 prize is given to one string quartet of exceptional talent and potential. Congratulations to the Willow Quartet for winning the very first Founder’s Prize!
