Sunday, March 22 was a huge day for the Trillium Trio! The ensemble delivered a commanding performance of the first movement of Beethoven’s iconic "Archduke" Trio on the Symphony Hall stage during the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra (ASYO) concert.

The trio features three of our dedicated students who have become staples of the Franklin Pond community:

• • Waverly Alexander, Violin (2020, 2021, 2024-25, 2025-26), a graduating senior
  • Andy Fang, Piano (2024-25, 2025-26), a graduating senior
  • Maggie Liu, Cello (2021, 2022, 2022-23, 2023, 2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26), a rising senior (Junior)

This performance was the culmination of two years of intensive collaboration. Over their tenure together, the Trillium Trio has evolved from individual talented students into a highly polished chamber ensemble. Beyond their technical synergy, they have formed a deep bond of friendship—a testament to the community-building mission at the heart of Franklin Pond.

As Waverly and Andy prepare to graduate this year and head into their next chapters as Franklin Pond alumni, this performance serves as a beautiful "encore" to their time in the program. We look forward to following their musical journeys and seeing Maggie return for her senior year!
