Franklin Pond Too has begun!

FP2 QuartetSummer has kicked off with the first session of Franklin Pond Too, a quartet of rising 5th and 6th graders.

This year, as has happened in a few previous years, we have a wonderful quartet of young musicians who were too young to apply to our Summer program.  We designed an abbreviated program for them called Franklin Pond Too.  They met for several coaching sessions with our faculty and have rehearsed in between, becoming good friends.  This group played for our guest artist and in the masterclass July 13th.  Their final performance of Haydn’s Quartet Op. 76, No. 1 (1st movement) will be at Canterbury Court in Buckhead at 7:30 on Thursday July 23rd.  They will share the program with two groups from the Summer program, a piano quartet and a piano trio.
